REV. KEN SHICK, INTERIM PASTOR
Interim Pastor Ken Shick has been married to Robin for 38 years. They have 3 adult sons and families who live in the Tampa area, including 4 grandchildren, ages 6 – newborn. Pastor Ken has been in ordained ministry for 43 years. His last permanent pastorate was Hyde Park Presbyterian where he served for 30 years. He has been doing Transitional Ministry for 3 years and has previously served Temple Terrace PC and Northeast PC in St. Petersburg. His interests are singing and playing guitar, cycling, and cooking/grilling. He is enjoying knowing and pastoring the people of Village Presbyterian.
SUE GOLDSTEIN, OFFICE ADMINISTRATIOR
Sue began as church secretary at Village in 1996 and became office administrator in 2013.
Sue has an Associates Degree from St. Petersburg Junior College. She works part-time at the church and enjoys bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
HOLLY KOWALCZYK, DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Holly Kowalczyk joins the VPC family excited about the position of Christian Education Director. Finding salvation while attending her youth group she understands the importance of a strong youth program, and the need for adult education to grow and strengthen in faith. She is married, and she and her husband Robert have three children, Sean, Alyssa, and Kaila. Holly has a bachelors degree from the University of South Florida. Her free time is spent with her family, she loves a good book, and enjoys anything that requires a glue gun. She always eager for a challenge.
GARY WIRSZ, ORGANIST
Gary has been organist/choir accompanist at Village Presbyterian since 1987. He began piano lessons at age six and switched to organ at 16. Gary has worked with seven choir directors here at Village and this is his seventh organist position since attending Andrew University in Michigan for a BMus degree. After retiring in 2014, he continues his organist duties here as well as working part time at Head’s House of Music.
BRITTANY BOZEMAN, DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Brittany Bozeman began her musical studies with piano lessons at the age of five. At age twelve she began her vocal studies. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano and vocal performance and a Master of Arts degree in music history. In addition to directing the Music Ministries at Village Presbyterian Church, she teaches piano and vocal lessons at Bigel Music and the Orlando School of Music.
RYAN GOLDSTEIN, DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY & OFFICE ASSISTANT
Ryan began working for the Community Food Pantry as a volunteer in 2015. He added an amazing creative flair to the Community Food Pantry with his technical skills and website development. He earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Geography from USF in 2008. He studied abroad earning his Master’s Degree in Human Geography from Stockholm University in 2012.
Ryan enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping. He has a fond love of ketchup and puts it on almost anything you can imagine, except donuts, a close second favorite! He is a HUGE baseball fan, loves the Tampa Bay Rays and the USF Bulls. He also enjoys spending time with his two nephews.
MONICA WILSON, COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY DIRECTOR
Monica began serving in the food pantry in 2010. She was inspired to volunteer by one of her children after having witnessed a family in need that visited Village. Monica majored in Business at the University of South Florida and spent over 10 years selling real estate in the Tampa Bay area. She is married and she and her husband, Reggie, have four children. In 2015, Monica became the Director of the Community Food Pantry at Village and is humbled how it continues to serve the needs of those hungry in our community.
